This week the children have been putting lots of things that they have learned into practice whilst in Continuous Provision:
They have been finding lots of familiar sounds and combinations of sounds that they have learned in Phonics, which has enabled them to read words independently in the books in our 'reading garden.'
The children who come to Construction Club, have demonstrated some of the skills they have learned about planning and constructing with a purpose in mind and have produced some fabulous creations.
We have been learning about 'doubling' in Maths and the children have independently made 'doubles' of various amounts in the Maths area, using Tens Frames and recording their findings in various ways.
Our minibeast topic inspired the children to look for minibeasts independently whilst outside. They found a 'wiggly worm' and were very concerned that it should not be harmed!
